Education: The Foundation of Social Transformation

At Global Compassion Foundation, education is not viewed as a privilege, but as a basic human right that every child deserves, regardless of economic status or place of birth.

Our Education Initiatives focus on providing quality, accessible, and compassionate education to underprivileged children living in rural and marginalized communities in Mizoram, with special attention to areas where opportunities are limited.

Establishing a non-profit charitable school at Tuichawng Village, Mizoram — primarily for underprivileged Chakma children, addressing poverty and distance barriers with sincere, caring education.

  • Classes from Nursery to Class X (phased development)
  • Minimal fees ensuring access for all families
  • Safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment

Our Educational Approach

We focus on real learning outcomes and value-based development, helping children from all backgrounds break the cycle of poverty with knowledge, confidence, and hope for a better future.

  • Small class sizes for individual attention
  • Value-based curriculum with ethical guidance
  • Inclusive learning — zero discrimination

Boarding & Support Facilities

To support children from distant villages, the Foundation plans to gradually establish hostel and care facilities ensuring safe lodging and full physical and emotional well-being.

  • Separate safe lodging for boys and girls
  • Nutritional support and basic healthcare
  • Counseling and mentorship for all students

Vision & Transparency

We aim to develop the school into a model rural institution with vocational training and digital learning, while ensuring complete financial accountability and community involvement.

  • Digital integration in learning (phased)
  • 100% of contributions spent on children's welfare
  • Full financial accountability and transparency

Cultural Roots

Supporting the Chakma Indigenous People

The Chakma are a proud ethnic tribal community of Buddhist heritage with a distinct culture, unique written alphabet script, and a sustainable eco-centric lifestyle rooted in Northeast India for centuries.

GCF collaborates directly with village chief councils to implement script tutors, support maternal health, and install pipelines — all without disrupting the heritage and traditions of the community.

What People Are Saying

Feedback from local village heads, dedicated volunteers, and our trusted global partners.

"

Before GCF laid down the gravity pipelines, our youth had to climb down deep ravines daily to carry heavy water containers. Today, clean running water flows right in our village center.

Working as a volunteering script teacher with GCF has been an incredible experience. We are helping children read and write in our ancestral script, preserving our unique literature for generations.
